Default Class imbalance?

Are you a ranger, necro or mesmer?Have you ever stood around Temple of Ages waiting for a team?Tired of hearing looking for a monk warrior or ele?I have a solution.Limit the number of warriors monks eles on a team to two.Even with two of each this would free two slots for rangers necs or mesmers. This is suposedly a team game and this would help.If not then do away with rangers necs mesmers and only have three classes.

Skill is an amazing thing. Once people see a decent ranger in practice, they change their mind quickly. Rangers aren't the end-all be-all of the game, but they can definitely be of benefit to a team.

Personally I would not propose anything that gains on other's loss.
W - Tank
Mo - Healer
E - Dmg maker
All others - supporting role
If I could get more E for more dmg, I would not bring a N just for the energy regen. So I would suggest you to play one FotM class for pve farming instead of trying to push your R/N/Me into a team.

Ye, I love my R the most, still, no way he could match the dmg output of my E/Me.

Well, it's not always about raw damage. However, the simplest strategy which people understand is about raw damage and healing.

I can see your point but, the teams I enjoy and have the most success in the underworld are pretty diverse in classes. I would NEVER join a team with more than 3 warriors and always expect at least 1 ranger on a team. Mesmer is the least played class I think, so I wouldnt expect to see many of them around in the first place. I always appreciate variety.

I'd imagine that a good mesmer would shut down most elementalists pretty effectively.

I have sat around the temple of ages before waiting endlessly for a team as a ranger. When I do get a team sometimes the people in it aren't smart enough to utilize a ranger and amazingly enough don't seem to understand the concept of "pulling". I'll pull a monster by shooting an arrow at them from a long way away then run the little ways back to the group and WAIT for the monster to come to us. Instead right after I tell them I'm pulling and indicate on the radar where i'm pulling from, these players see me attacking and run straight for it before the monster takes two steps totally defeating the purpose.

The reason I think rangers can find themselves sitting in the temple of ages for, well, ages is because most parties of 8 players would only ever NEED 1 ranger and since there seem to be a GOOD number of rangers out there that spot is usually quickly taken by someone else. While there may be more warriors out there then rangers there are also usually 2-3 spots for them per party.

I considered making a RP monk about 3 weeks ago (my primary is a R/Mo) but thought, "nah, if I do that everyone else is probably thinking the same thing and there will be a ton of monks and my ranger will actually get more play making all my work on a new char wasted (since I enjoy my ranger more the a monk). Sadly this has not happened despite me waiting for the number of players in each profession to balance itself out.

In most games the classes most sought after is the one people like to play but in GW I find a lot of people who like playing other professions like a ranger over a monk despite the demand for monks. Part of this is probably because people like to feel like they are doing damage where a monk doesnt do that. (this is also why many rangers aren't very useful, we're not made to be the top dmg dealers, but people still try to anyways). Another reason is because monks can often get blamed for when things goes bad, even if it isnt their fault that people didnt pay attention when they say they are low on energy or people run out of their range, etc.

Just my two cents, only worth what I charged ya for it.
